Housekeeping hub

This guide is designed to support both day-to-day housekeeping and staff training across the site at Heart of Scotland Holidays.

The aim is not just to complete a checklist, but to help ensure every lodge feels clean, welcoming, and properly prepared for the next guests arriving. This is how we keep our consistent 5* ratings, which in turn helps us secure future bookings.

Use the sections below to:

  • Find task instructions
  • Check lodge-specific information
  • Look up laundry and bedding details
  • Troubleshoot problems
  • Review standards and layouts

If you are unsure about something, or notice damage, maintenance issues, missing items, or low stock, please report it as soon as possible.

Important

Please do not assume that someone else will have reported an issue. If something looks wrong, damaged, missing, or unfinished, please check it and/or let me know.

If you’re unsure about anything, don’t know how something should be done, or can’t find something you need, do ask. There are no silly questions – I’d much rather you ask and get things right, than not ask and I have to fix an issue later!

Guest safety, cleanliness, and maintenance issues should always take priority.

Thank you for helping keep the lodges welcoming and well cared-for.

Emergency contacts

In normal circumstances, it’s best to WhatsApp me (Heather) with any issues. If you have an urgent situatio, however, please phone me on 07765 831273.

If you can’t get hold of me, or know that I’m not available for some reason, you can reach our plumber/electrician/general handy person, Nicky, on 07808 283293.

Issues that require urgent contact include anything that poses a risk of injury to humans or (further) damage to one of the units, such as a water leak, damaged electrical socket, broken window or door, rotten decking, a smell of burning or sewage, or anything else that you feel makes a unit unsuitable for habitation.
